The Association
Welcome members and friends of the America’s Côté Family Association.
The Association is a non-profit organization founded to bring together members and friends of the Côté families to share genealogical knowledge related to the large Côté family. The Association originated in Quebec City, the very place where the first ancestor, Jean Côté, and his wife, Anne Martin, arrived in New France at the beginning of the colonization. As you may know, the Côté family is the fourth largest founding family listed in 2005 by the Quebec Institute of Statistics.
On our website, you will find information about our association, our activities, our common ancestor Jean Côté, our annual general meeting and much more information that, we hope, will arouse your interest in the Côté families.
As we are concerned about being up to date with new technologies in the field of communications, we now have, thanks to the Recruitment Committee, a Facebook page to provide you with constant information on everything that is happening in our association.
Enjoy your visit on our website.

History of the America’s Côté Family Association
It was during a breakfast on a Sunday in October 2007 that, at the instigation of Mrs. Claudine Côté, Mr. Bertrand Côté, Mr. François Côté and Mr. Stéphane Côté met with her to discuss the constitution of a family association regrouping the Côté families.
A few days later, Mrs. Dyane Côté, Mr. Pierre Côté and Mr. Benoît Côté joined the group. Together, on January 17, 2008, they adopted a general by-law and formed a non-profit association. The America’s Côté Family Association was finally born and immediately joined the Fédération des Familles souches du Québec inc. (since 2014, known as the Fédération des associations de familles du Québec).
