The Association originated in Quebec City, the very place where the first ancestor, Jean C\u00f4t\u00e9, and his wife, Anne Martin, arrived in New France at the beginning of the colonization. As you may know, the C\u00f4t\u00e9 family is the fourth largest founding family listed in 2005 by the Quebec Institute of Statistics.<br><br>On our website, you will find information about our association, our activities, our common ancestor Jean C\u00f4t\u00e9, our annual general meeting and much more information that, we hope, will arouse your interest in the C\u00f4t\u00e9 families.<br><br>As we are concerned about being up to date with new technologies in the field of communications, we now have, thanks to the Recruitment Committee, a Facebook page to provide you with constant information on everything that is happening in our association.<br><br>Enjoy your visit on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Board of Directors &#8211; 2022<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr. Bernard C\u00f4t\u00e9, President <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. St\u00e9phane J. C\u00f4t\u00e9, Vice President <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Daniel C\u00f4t\u00e9, Treasurer <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mrs. Ir\u00e8ne C\u00f4t\u00e9-Plasse, Secretary <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Serge C\u00f4t\u00e9, Administrator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>History of the America&rsquo;s C\u00f4t\u00e9&nbsp;Family&nbsp;Association<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.association-cote.com\/pages_css\/photos\/resto.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>It was during a breakfast on a Sunday in October 2007 that, at the instigation of Mrs. Claudine C\u00f4t\u00e9, Mr. Bertrand C\u00f4t\u00e9, Mr. Fran\u00e7ois C\u00f4t\u00e9 and Mr. St\u00e9phane C\u00f4t\u00e9 met with her to discuss the constitution of a family association regrouping the C\u00f4t\u00e9 families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few days later, Mrs. Dyane C\u00f4t\u00e9, Mr. Pierre C\u00f4t\u00e9 and Mr. Beno\u00eet C\u00f4t\u00e9 joined the group.  Together, on January 17, 2008, they adopted a general by-law and formed a non-profit association.  The America&rsquo;s C\u00f4t\u00e9&nbsp;Family&nbsp;Association was finally born and immediately joined the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des Familles souches du Qu\u00e9bec inc.
